Andrea Goldman is a litigation attorney who focuses on business, construction/contractor, employment, landlord-tenant and real estate disputes. She represents construction companies and other businesses in drafting contracts and business planning. In addition, she is fluent in both Spanish and French and has helped international clients.  She has presented and written extensively on alternative dispute resolution, construction and employment issues.

Andrea is also an arbitrator and a mediator and serves on a number of alternative dispute resolution panels including the American Arbitration Association, the National Arbitration Forum, the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (FINRA) and the Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor Arbitration Program.

  • Represented buyer in purchase of an insurance agency.
  • Negotiated commercial lease for chemical company.
  • Negotiated non-disclosure agreements and independent contractor agreements.
  • Oversaw corporate governance matters companies, including preparation of filings with the Massachusetts Secretary of State.
  • Successfully settled lawsuit on behalf of the purchaser of a towing company for misrepresentation as trial commenced.
  • Successfully settled lawsuit on behalf of a commercial landlord who was sued by its tenant for damages caused by shut down of business due to building code violations.
  • Represented defendant employee in a suit by a moving company for its fees. Successfully negotiated a settlement for the employee.
  • Represented employees in handicap discrimination and Wage Act claims.
  • Drafting general contractor/subcontractor, general contractor renovation and new construction contracts for numerous construction companies.
  • Represented general contractors and subcontractors in disputes involving roofing, blasting, plumbing and other areas of construction.
  • Represented subcontractor in a major construction project where the general contractor stopped payments.
  • Represented builder of new home when homeowner stopped construction progress payments.
  • Represented construction company in a dispute with the state of Missouri concerning the construction of a bridge.
  • Defended construction companies against claims brought by surety companies.
  • Represented numerous homeowners in renovation disputes involving defective work, unreasonable delays and abandonment of the job.
  • Represented plaintiff in suit for constructive trust where defendant refused to share in the proceeds from the sale of real estate.
  • Represented former partner in real estate business where defendant failed to pay monies owed for management and the sale of properties.
  • Represented buyers where sellers refused to honor purchase and sale agreements.
  • Represented commercial and residential tenants in claims for failure to return security deposits.
